It is fitting that the life story of Cristiano Ronaldo, a powerful forward for the Spanish football club Real Madrid, the United Kingdom’s Manchester United, and the Portuguese national team is the subject of a new comic book written and illustrated by an international group of artists. His story is chronicled in the new comic book Fame: Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 28-page comic book is available this week in print and digital.

Ronaldo’s record-shattering hat-tricks and relentless goals made him the first player to score in four consecutive European Championship Finals. A force to be reckoned with, his skill at handling the ball earned him the FIFA Player of the Year four times. His rivalry with footballer Lionel Messi is the stuff of legend, while his clothing brand, CR7, his philanthropic activities, and his good looks have made him a media darling.

An international group of artists tell the story of the man behind the awards for Portland, Oregon-based TidalWave Comics. Written by Michael Frizell of Springfield, Missouri with art by Angelito Amaro Bernuy from Toledo, Spain and featuring a cover by Pablo Martinena from San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, Catamarca Province, Argentina, the comic book truly breaks down international borders.
