Winston’s Amazing World,” a spiritual young adult novel that chronicles the adventures of a tween boy in a fantastical world, will be released June 22. Markosia Enterprises is publishing the first book in a two-part series.
Written by Dawn Davis, the 217-page novel is available this week through all book channels. Famed artist Ramon Salas did the cover art.
Luminatia is a world of peace and tranquility, where the people live in harmony and its king rules with love. When young Winston and his feisty best friend, Pru, learn Winston’s brother was kidnapped, the dynamic duo set off an adventure to bring the sibling home. During their quest, the would-be rescuers discover they have superpowers they must harness and master.
“Winston’s Amazing World” is a testament to Davis’ love of fantastical tales and an homage to her lifetime of studying global spirituality. “Luminatia is a world of light and positivity where children and adults can suspend disbelief and take a powerful journey of the imagination together,” Davis said.
Davis lives in San Diego, where she is in hospice care for terminal lung cancer. This book is a decade-long labor of love, and Davis said seeing it finally published is her dying wish. “These two books are my final gift to share a lifelong spiritual journey of light and love.”
Her son Darren G. Davis produced the book. He owns TidalWave Productions, a comic book publishing company in Portland, Oregon.
The mother and son are collaborating to finish the second book in the series, currently titled “Pru’s Quest.”
Before penning her first novel, Dawn Davis was an accomplished interior designer, celebrity public relations manager and well-respected legal recruiter for more than 20 years.
Print copies of the first book are available for preorder on Amazon. Retailers can order the book thru Markosia Publications’ distribution channel, Ingram.
Digital versions will be available from iTunes, Kindle, Kobo and wherever e-books are sold.
