TidalWave Comics is proud to announce the release of new comic book series, Stormy Daniels: Space Force, written by Lexington author, Andrew Shayde.
Andrew Shayde, along with co-writer Michael Frizell, turn up the political satire through comic books. Based in the future, in a galaxy far far away, this dark comedy stars adult film star Stormy Daniels leading her band of misfits in a rescue mission orchestrated by OrDon, a Donald Trump’esque character. Throughout this new series, the issues poke fun as some big political players and moments in American history of the last 4 years.
“A lot of our recent history almost reads like non-fiction. It’s been a crazy few years. We can either cry about it or laugh about it. I decided to join this project to laugh. Political satire had been around for hundreds of years, we’re just taking it to a colorful platform. As a Kentuckian, I assure you ol’ Mitch McConnell will eventually make an appearance.” said writer Andrew Shayde.
Andrew Shayde is a Lexington native, former contestant of the Emmy-winning reality tv series The Amazing Race, works for the nonprofit Arbor Youth Services in Lexington, KY, and wrote the critically acclaimed graphic novel Monsters Among Us.
Written by Andrew Shayde and Michael Frizell, drawn by Pablo Martinena, this 22-page comic book is available both digitally and in print and can be found on multiple platforms.
In 2021, Shayde is taking the mantle at writing a new modern day comic book series based off the Shakespeare play “Romeo and Juliet”.
