RAPPER BAD BUNNY THE COMIC BOOK TREATMENT

TidalWave Comics is proud to announce the addition of the iconic singer Bad Bunny to its popular “FAME” comic book series focused on personalities who impact the world.  “FAME: Bad Bunny” will be released on October 6, 2021, for Hispanic Heritage Month.

Written by Eric M. Esquivel and  Amanda Del Cid Lugo

As well as illustrated by Victor Moura, this 25-page comic book is available both digitally and in print and can be found on multiple platforms such as Amazon. Both feature a cover by famed comic book artist Joe Phillips.

The comic book will be released in both English and Spanish languages.

Bad Bunny is, without a doubt, the most popular entertainer in the world. In 2020, Spotify revealed that Bad Bunny was the most popular artist on their service— and that’s BEFORE the release of his THIRD album of that year, “El Ultimo Tour Del Mundo.”  In the month of December, fans streamed Bad Bunny’s songs more than 600 million times on Spotify, and another 500 million times on YouTube.

Bad Bunny is currently a featured character in the WWE universe, who is currently UNDEFEATED at WrestleMania — the franchise’s most-watched event.  This biographical graphic novel explores how a nerdy grocery store clerk from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico became a cross-cultural sensation.

“As a reluctant reader, I found the comic book form easy to access, so I always believed comics could both entertain and teach,” said publisher and creative force Darren G. Davis. “We’ve found a niche with our bio comics,” said TidalWave publisher Darren G.  Davis. “Our success with this comic shows that there is a much wider audience for sequential storytelling than many thought. These readers are simply looking for something other than superheroes or horror. With our bio comics, we strive to bring these new readers evenhanded, well-researched looks at some of their favorite celebrities.”

Writer Eric Esquivel, “It’s an honor to be a part of this project. And not just because I’m a huge, huge fan of BAD BUNNY’s music– but because I got to work alongside Amanda Del Cid Lugo (co-writer) and Victor Moura (illustrator).”

“Tried my best to make the art of this book unique so it had its own voice like it should” said writer Vitor Moura.

TIDALWAVE has focused their biographies on previous Latin personas such as Selena Quintanilla, Sonia Sotomayor, Selena Gomez, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and others.

The Fame comic line has been embraced by the media and has been featured on several television news outlets including The Today Show, The View, E! News, The Tonight Show, and CNN. The series has also been featured in many publications such as Vanity Fair, MTV, People, Time. and Rolling Stone.

TidalWave Comics vast catalog of titles can be purchased in print on Amazon also be downloaded on ComiXology, DriveThru Comics, Google Play, Overdrive, iTunes, Kindle, Biblioboard, Nook, Kobo and wherever eBooks are sold.
