KOBE BRYANT LIFE STORY GETS THE COMIC BOOK TREATMENT

TidalWave Comics is thrilled to announce that sports legend Kobe Bryant will be featured in the latest installment of its acclaimed “TRIBUTE” comic book series, which honors influential figures. “Tribute: Kobe Bryant” is available now.

This 22-page comic book, written by Michael Frizell and illustrated by Pablo Martinena, will be available in both digital and print formats across multiple platforms, including Amazon. Fans can choose between softcover and hardcover editions, with the paperback edition featuring a unique cover designed by Martinena.

Kobe Bryant, the son of former NBA player Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, was immersed in basketball from an early age. After moving to Italy at six, he developed a diverse skill set before returning to the U.S. and attending Lower Merion High School. Kobe entered the NBA draft straight out of high school and was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996 before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he spent his entire 20-year career. Renowned for his relentless work ethic, fierce competitiveness, and extraordinary skill, Kobe led the Lakers to five NBA championships, earned 18 All-Star selections, and was named the NBA MVP in 2008. Beyond basketball, he championed youth sports and education, and even won an Academy Award for his short film “Dear Basketball” in 2018. Tragically, Kobe and his daughter Gianna lost their lives in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. His enduring legacy continues to inspire young athletes around the globe. This comic book captures Kobe’s remarkable journey from a basketball prodigy to an enduring legend.

“The Tribute comic book series is dedicated to honoring the legacies of beloved icons who have passed away,” says TidalWave publisher Darren G. Davis. “It’s our way of paying homage to those who have made a lasting impact on the world.”
